Three days offline allowed me to get a lot of sketching in. We travelled around Hwange National Park in the North of Zim. At times it seemed we were alone there. (at Hwange National Park)

With some tlc this camp could be a winner. Beautiful views, shade, a waterhole nearby, and elephant skulls as decor. What’s not to like?

Sketching during our lunch break. Picnic spots are unfenced, and we saw some cat spoor earlier but we held our nerve. This National park is not for sissies.

Campsites don’t get much better than this, according to @stuartrturner

Hwange National Park is dotted with waterholes. They are pumped because the landscape is on the fringe of the Kalahari desert. Unfortunately it’s the rainy season so the animals don’t come to the waterholes so much. Still, we saw hippos and elephants, giraffes and zebra, and lots of birds.
